Who We Are
A home-cooked meal has the power to create a moment of peace in the storm of our busy lives. Yet so few of us have time to foster the calm of the kitchen table. Sweet Deliverance has created an escape route from hectic city life through the calm comforts of countryside cuisine.
We provide a direct link between the production and consumption of wholesome food, while celebrating a mutually respectful and beneficial partnership between the farmer and consumer.
For over 6 years Sweet Deliverance has offered New York City the convenience and luxury of delicious meals delivered right to your door. We use the finest seasonal organic ingredients your local foodshed has to offer, and ordering is now super-simple with our new Good Eggs webstand!
Sweet Deliverance operates out of Brooklyn, New York and delivers to Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx. We’re happy to plan around special dietary needs – we love a challenge in the kitchen. All of our deliveries are packaged in corn-based, compostable containers and our kitchen is powered by wind energy.
Founder, Head Chef
A graduate of Manhattan’s renowned Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts, Kelly has put years of culinary exploration into practice at Sweet Deliverance. She started out working in a brasserie in Gainesville, and then managed the kitchen at the Wildflower Café and Bakery in Northern California. After moving to New York, Kelly honed her craft at Blue Hill at Stone Barns Restaurant and Center for Agriculture under chef Dan Barber, where she began as an intern and finished as chef in the garde manger, serving 120-200 covers an evening. Kelly also worked as a sous chef at Little Giant, one of Lower Manhattan’s shrines to seasonal cuisine.
Despite the excitement of restaurant kitchens, Sweet Deliverance is her true passion. A loyal share-holder in her local CSA (Community Support Agriculture) program, Kelly eagerly awaits her Saturday mornings trips to the local farmer’s market where she selects the best organic fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Sweet Deliverance is built upon a framework of delicious food and the belief that a partnership between farmer and eater is crucial.
