Sweet Deliverance NEW Summer & Fall Contracts!

Sweet deliverance is excited to announce Summer and Fall service for 2010!
We have some great new additions to the service including a fruit share, a selection of goodies from The Meat Hook, Brooklyn’s famed butcher shop as well as fresh soy and nut milks delivered each week, Ice Cream AND MORE!!

Here’s the best part. We know most of you leave town at some point during the season so it makes it tricky to commit to the whole season from June through November so we have broken our service into Summer and Fall each delivering for 11 weeks every Monday or 6 weeks every other Monday.

Here’s the skinny -

Summer every week delivery schedule:
June 14th, 21st & 28th
July 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th
August 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd

Summer every other week schedule:
June 14th & 28th
July 12th & 26th
August 9th & 23rd

Fall every week delivery schedule:
August 30th
September 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th
October 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th
November 8th

Fall every other week schedule:
August 30th
September 13th & 27th
October 11th & 25th
November 8th

Each delivery will include… 

1 quart of soup or a stew 

1 baked good

1 pasta or grain dish
Optional meat dish or dishes ($25 per 2 servings)

3 side dishes 

1 dessert

1 dozen eggs
1 bag of granola
1 jar of honey or maple syrup per month

Kelly Geary, owner of Sweet Deliverance, has been working on a canning cookbook and is pleased to announce that it will be published by Rodale and out mid Spring 2011
We have been toiling away like mad scientists developing delicious recipes like Nectarine Orange Blossom Honey Jam and Lemon Verbena and Black Pepper Heirloom pickles.
Our hard work is your gain! 
Sign up for the Sweet & Sour addition and every other week you will receive a new jam or pickle with your delivery. All our ingredients are organic and our sweet jams taste less like sugar and more like fruit.

Meat Option 

Each week there will be two meat entrees to choose from on the menu. Each entree is two servings ($25) utilizing local grass fed and organic meats. You are more than welcome to order as many 2 serving portions as you like.

Get Hooked...

with The Meat Hook, Brooklyn’s newest and best butcher shop operated by meat men extraordinaires Tom Mylan and Brent Young. Get hooked will be a bi-weekly delivery addition of Meat Hook favorites like bacon, pate, rillettes, country hams, sausages and more. 
Each delivery the butchers will put together a special selection just for Sweet Deliverance customers!

Cheese Please!
As always we will also be offering cheese specials from Saxelby Cheesemongers each week as well as the staple dairy items for purchase such as milk, cream, yogurts, butter, buttermilk and more.

Totally Nuts!
We have been fortunate enough to have gained access to a distributor of very high quality Organic nuts (not local) and grains (mostly local). Each week we will deliver freshly made Organic nut or soy milk made by us! Freshly made soy, nut and grain milks have a much better flavor than that stuff in a box at Whole Foods!! and better for you as well. We will offer a selection each week for you to choose from.

Fruit Share
The fruit share will be composed of 2-4 varieties of fruits and berries each week, including strawberries, blueberries, peaches, apples, plums, pears, apricots, nectarines, and cherries. These fruits come from orchards and farms around the Hudson Valley. They are not always organic but are from small farms who utilize sustainable and low spray farming methods. We will of course offer organic varieties whenever possible and keep you informed when they are not! This option is for raw fruit and will sometimes be similar to the fruit used in your desserts.

I SCREAM for Ice Cream!!
We had so much fun offering our ice creams and sorbets last summer made with organic grass fed milk and organic fruits and herbs that we are doing it again! Some of last years flavors that were a big hit were lemon ice cream with blueberry lemongrass swirl, concord grape sorbet, goat milk ice cream with chili caramel swirl, ricotta mint ice cream, cantaloupe chili sorbet, brown sugar plum ice cream, Anise Hyssop with candied hazelnuts and SO many more!

We will then email you a contract to sign and send along with your CSA share cost of $385 and the first week’s delivery fee of $350.

Policy
We are a very small company so the way we purchase our ingredients and schedule our time is very important! Because of this we have taken a “doctor’s office” approach. (Consider us a food doctor for your belly!)

Vacationing or leaving town?
-We suggest that you gift or transfer the service to a friend or family member.
- We will also do our best to swap weeks or extend your service to accommodate your schedule
*If you are unable to do either of these options we will need 2 weeks notice if you plan on interrupting service so we can adjust our schedule or you will be responsible for the delivery fee for that week.

Due to the nature of our service and CSA we can only allow for 1 week disruption during your contract.

We promise to make every effort to ensure our customer’s satisfaction regarding taste, dietary requirements, and convenience. If for some reason due to circumstance or otherwise you decide to discontinue our service we require 2 weeks written notice and a cancellation fee of $250.
